Ramon y Ayala e Hijos Vina Santurnia Joven Tempranillo, Rioja, Spain

This 100% Organic Tempranillo is from vineyards near the town of Brinas.  The apporach is quite progressive and Santurnia us full carbonic maceration in stainless steel as many producers in Beaujolais do. The wine is aged in stainless for 6 months to deliver a modern style fo Rioja. Fresh and lively with crunchy but ripe plum and cherry fruit that ends with a silky finish.  Don't be afraid to serve this with chill.
