Caiaffa, Negroamaro, Puglia, Italy

Located in Cerignola, (north part of Puglia)  on the heights of Tavoliere. Here the land is closer to the sea, where only 4 km divide the grapes from the sea water. Negroamaro is an ancient variety that literally means, black and bitter. This wine is complex and medium bodied. It shows characteristics of spices such as clove and cinnamon , combine with ripe black fruit wel integrated with a brief maturation on oak. The tannins are soft but present and they give vivacity to the wine.
